While everyone was enjoying the lovely MU-KU football game on Saturday, I was concerned about much more pressing issues. Our upper-deck tickets. It’s really more the steep grade than the actual height that gets me. I’m picturing myself jumping up too jubilantly and launching into a free fall while the box-seat spectators stand frozen in horror at the UFO.
After I land (if I’m lucky to have some poor SOB break my fall), the medical staff will shake their heads at me as if to say “What did you expect? It’s not called the nosebleeds for nothing.” And I’ll only have myself to blame. Next time I better shell out the benjamins and sit at a more reasonable incline. (Though it was a totally awesome game. I heard one guy in the parking lot claim it was the best day of his life.) You can never be too safe.
